Why Kattz
You shouldn't have to manage your logistics company.
Logistics is a trust business. A customer is not buying a truck; they are handing over inventory, a deadline and a promise already made to someone further down the chain. These four principles are how we earn that, shipment after shipment.
Why Kattz
You shouldn't have to manage your logistics company.
01
Built around you.
Your freight shouldn't have to fit our system. We ask where it is, how the receiver needs it and what constraints are involved, then build the transportation plan around that. The container, the chassis, the crossing and the tractor are instruments. You should not have to conduct them.
02
Early is on time.
Delivery appointments are commitments. We plan the pickup, the sailing and the driver so the truck is there before anyone has to wonder whether it is coming. Our standard is to be early; the exceptions are the weather and the road, and you hear about those from us first.
03
Find the practical way.
Freight doesn't always read the plan. A container the receiver can't take, a load that is inches too tall, a sailing that doesn't line up with the appointment. When the standard answer stops working, we start working: different equipment, a different crossing, a different order of operations.
04
Watch the total cost.
Saving money is not always about the lowest rate. Sometimes it is about not sending a tractor and driver across the Strait when only the trailer needs to go, or about not paying dwell because the pickup was planned around the sailing. We care about the money left in your pocket after the shipment arrives.
Reliability
Early is on time.

Our standard is to be early. Receiving appointments are commitments, and we plan the pickup, the crossing and the driver so the truck is there before anyone has to wonder.
- Customer service means answering before the customer has to chase us.
- Customer service means making the problem ours once you have handed it to us.
A human answer
Experience without the bureaucracy.
Decades of experience, and a person on the phone. When you call Kattz you reach someone who knows the port, the sailings and your receiver, and who can re-book the crossing, change the equipment or call the consignee without asking anyone. The plan can change in one conversation.
How we think
A different way to think about logistics
| A standard approach | The Kattz approach |
|---|---|
| Standard process first. | Shipment requirement first. |
| Make the freight fit the system. | Build the plan around the freight. |
| Optimize the transportation leg. | Consider the whole movement, port to door. |
| Send equipment because that is how it is done. | Send only the equipment that needs to make the trip. |
| Quote a line item. | Tell you what the move actually costs. |
| An email when something goes wrong. | A call before it does. |
Relationships
Our strongest sales pitch is how long customers stay.
17+ years with our longest-standing customers
Logistics trust isn't built in one shipment. It is built every time the phone gets answered, every appointment gets taken seriously and every problem gets solved. Some of our customer relationships have lasted more than seventeen years, and nearly all of our work is repeat work.
“Been a pleasure building the relationship and I can not say enough good things about the service you provide, definitely next level.”
Tyler · Pro-Ex Transport Systems Ltd.“Thank you for the cooperation, and great teamwork throughout the year. We truly appreciate our partnership and look forward to continuing our work together in the year ahead.”

What if it isn't that simple?
The boat that was inches too tall
A sailboat arriving from China had to come straight off the ship onto a truck, and the load was too tall for the clearance on the route. Kattz lowered it on its own tires and moved it with inches to spare.
- The problem
- Direct discharge was required: the boat had to come off the vessel straight onto the truck. Loaded, it was too tall for the clearance available on the route.
- The response
- Rather than treating the load as impossible, the team worked through the physical constraint and found enough height by carefully reducing tire pressure until the load cleared.
Inches made the difference.
Sometimes logistics is a rate. Sometimes it is figuring out how to make something physically possible.

Whoever you work with, these are the questions that decide what an Island shipment really costs and whether it arrives on the day you promised.
- 01Are you paying for a tractor and driver that don't need to make the entire trip?
- 02Who coordinates the handoff once the freight reaches the Island?
- 03What happens when the receiver can't take the freight as it arrived?
- 04Who owns the problem when the original plan stops working?
- 05Are you talking to someone who can actually change the plan?
