Across Canada

Canadian ports and rail ramps. Wherever the freight goes next.

We're based in Nanaimo and Vancouver Island is our specialty, but the freight we coordinate starts all over Canada: at a port, an intermodal rail ramp or a shipper's dock, and sometimes across the border.

How it works when your freight isn't on the Island

Tell us where the freight is: the port, the rail ramp, or the address. We plan the pickup around the facility's own rules and appointment windows, line up the right equipment for the load, and build every leg backward from how the receiver needs it. One contact for the whole move.

Port logistics across Canada

From five Vancouver-area port facilities to the ports of Montreal, Halifax and Saint John, Kattz coordinates freight pickup, delivery and the transportation each shipment needs next. Every facility has its own reservation system, free time and dwell rules; planning around them is how a container avoids becoming a storage bill.

Rail connections across Canada

From British Columbia to Atlantic Canada, we coordinate freight moving through major Canadian intermodal rail ramps: the pickup at the ramp and the move to the receiver, or on to the coast and across to the Island.

Rail stops at the Mainland

There is no freight rail service on Vancouver Island. Rail freight bound for the Island comes off the railway at a Mainland ramp and finishes the trip by barge and road. The closest ramps we work with are in Surrey and Pitt Meadows; from there the freight moves by road to the barge terminal and across.

Across the border

Freight that starts or finishes in the United States is coordinated the same way: one plan, one point of contact, the right carrier for each leg. Tell us both ends and we'll work out the middle.

Where we pick up

Vancouver Island has no freight rail; Island freight crosses by commercial barge.
